MEET OUR INSTRUCTOR – MR. PARRA
Our school is run by Mr. Parra, 3rd degree blackbelt in Kyuki-Do.
With over 20 years in the martial arts and Kyuki-Do, Mr. Parra opened AKF Martial Arts of Elgin in 2015 to serve his community on the east side of Elgin, IL. He is on a mission to bring the benefits of the martial arts to more latino youth and families in Elgin. These benefits include; focus, discipline, fitness, confidence, and self-defense.
It’s about more than kicking and punching. Mr. Parra believes martial arts is truly the path to a more balanced, healthier, fitter, and happier life.

Pre-K Program
Ages 3 to 6
“More coordinated”. “Boost in confidence”. “Loves the class!”. These are just a few of the comments we hear from parents after putting their kids ages 3 to 6 in our Pre-K Martial Arts program in Elgin. Classes are fun AND educational, and focuses on developing your child’s coordination and focus.
Kids Program
Ages 7+
Our Kids Martial Arts Classes in Elgin do more than teach self-defense, and kicking and punching. Our classes teach kids discipline, respect, focus, goal setting, team work and so much more. Our program is designed to encourage and inspire your child to learn more, achieve more, and succeed more.
Family Program
Adults & Families
Martial arts isn’t just for kids! We have classes available for adults and family classes so parents can grow with their children.
